When it comes to Halloween costumes, not all of us can be Heidi Klum. While the supermodel famously puts tons of effort into dressing up each year, we’ve been known to procrastinate until the last minute. It’s then that we found ourselves scrambling to pull something together or admitting defeat, disappointed that we couldn’t get it together in time. Still, this year we’re determined to celebrate properly, so we’re keeping an easy alternative in our back pocket: graphic T-shirts that can technically be considered a Halloween costume, even without adding anything extra.
While perusing Amazon, we found tons of Halloween themed T-shirts that feel like full looks on their own. If the goal is to channel current events, there are plenty of tops that feature the Barbie logo. If something traditional is more your style, you could go as a pumpkin or a cat. Some people prefer to spend their Halloween night watching movies, in which case you might feel a tad more festive decked out in a design from Hocus Pocus or The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Perhaps the best part is that these Halloween costumes also happen to be low commitment. If you’re worried you’ll feel out of place in your stuffy office (since Oct. 31 unfortunately falls on a Tuesday), you can simply slip on a sweater or jacket to cover up — until that after-work party, of course.
A Barbie

$19.5422.9915% Off
There are bound to be a ton of Barbies out there this Halloween, and if you’d like to join in on the fun in a no-fuss way, this T-shirt will do the trick. You don’t have to be Margot Robbie’s character — make up your own fun backstory or add a few accessories (a work bag, a stethoscope, a dog leash, etc.) to really customize your look.
Jack Skellington

If you tend to associate Halloween with a specific group movies, why not dress up as Jack Skellington from Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas? If you’re staying in, it’s the perfect binge-watching ensemble, but if you’re going out, you might want to add some spooky face makeup to really drive the point home.
A Pumpkin

Pumpkins — or Jack-o’-lanterns, to be more specific — are essentially the mascot of Halloween. Slip this baby on with a pair of jeans or a skirt and no one will even question who or what you are. It’s a classic.
A Crayon

Sure, you can rock this one solo (perhaps while carrying a piece of paper or coloring book), but it’s even more fun if you recruit a few friends. With 18 colors to choose from, it’s the perfect group costume idea, especially if you plan to dress up with coworkers and are looking for an idea that’s cute yet easy.
Regina George

Thanks to a new musical movie that’s dropping this January, Mean Girls is everywhere again. Get ahead of the trend by rocking Regina George’s famous tank top, which — dare we say it? — is so fetch.
Hocus Pocus

If you’re tempted to dress up as Winifred, Sarah, or Mary this Halloween but would prefer to skip the long dress and cape combo, you can still reference Hocus Pocus‘ Sanderson sisters with this playful apothecary tee. Since it’s pretty distressed, you could take things a step further and add some zombie makeup, pretending you’re neighbors with Billy Butcherson.
Superman

$16.49188% Off
It’s not often we use subtle and Halloween costume in the same sentence, but that’s exactly what this is. You can wear the Superman tee on its own, announcing to everyone that you’re a superhero for the day, or you can let the shirt peek out from under a button-down or jacket, as if you’re secretly in disguise.
A Cat

There’s no need to elaborate — everyone will be able to tell what you are this Halloween just by reading your T-shirt. You could add ears or whiskers to this look, but to be honest, it might be funnier without them.
